Two Chinese companies Wen Hao and Zhongtuo Guangfu have launched a multimillion dollar real estate project which will involve the development of a business centre, a four-star hotel, and a modern condominium in Sikhottabong district, Vientiane Capital.

The real estate complex will be built in the place of Ta Lad Leng, a Chinese market located in Vientiane Capital.

The complex will sit on 5,000 sq m in the prime area of T2 Road, about 800 meters away from the Mekong riverside.

“The commercial complex will have three buildings including one three-storey building, a 13-storey building and one 9-story condominium. The whole project is expected to complete by 2020,” said Mr Phonesavanh Chanthala, Property Consultant for Wen Hao Company.

The majority of business spaces at the business building of the Ta Lat Leng market have been sold out and there are only 10 per cent of the spaces available for customers at the moment, according to Mr Phonesavanh.

Ta Lat Leng was built in 1994. In 2000 it was rebuilt and renamed Lao-Chinese Friendship Market by Kunming Investment Company.

Later, the market became well-known among hardware and electrical product buyers.
