Chinese Woman Killed In Roadside Mugging Last Night

Robbers shot a Chinese woman dead last night on the T2 road in Sikhottabong district, Vientiane.
A witness said that at 21:25 a Chinese couple was walking along T2 road (also known as Asean Road) when a man and a woman pulled up on a motorbike and confronted the couple. They produced a gun and demanded that the woman hand over her bag.
But the couple refused and the woman on the bike shot the Chinese woman in the back. The bullet passed through her chest, killing her instantly.
The Sikhottabong district police department is investigating the incident.
