‘On Your Side-The Series’ Celebrates 1 Million Views

The local online drama ‘On Your Side-the Series,’ produced by Mind Media celebrated after the show’s episodes reached 1 million views through social media last week.

Performers, producers and the production team celebrated the success at ‘The Local Vientiane’ restaurant and thanked the public for watching the home-grown drama.

All expressed their appreciation for the interest shown in the series following the hard work put into its production.

On Your Side the Series is about a rural girl named Siboua (Pinkky) who goes to the big city and the many challenges she encounters at high school while befriending a boy who stays by her side as she reaches for her dreams.

Eight fifteen minute episodes have been viewed every Friday from 2pm onwards via the SunsilkLaos Facebook page and YouTube.

Each episode attracted loads of viewers with the final episode downloaded last week. The cast included Ms Koulanad Fongsavanh as Siboua who won her role after showing outstanding ability in Lao dancing.

Mind Media Director, Mr Athidxay Bouandaoheuang said he really appreciated that the series had received such favourable feedback from viewers.

“Reaching 1 million views through social media is a great achievement and it shows that Lao people are interested local entertainment,” he said.

Following the favourable reaction he plans to screen the series on local TV but the channel and timeslot have yet to be finalised.

Cast and crew celebrated their recent success and hoped they can reunite the production team again for future dramas.
