Air Asia has appointed Toko Assurance as the exclusive insurer for AirAsia passengers travelling from Wattay International Airport in Vientiane.
All passengers on AirAsia flights will have the option to be insured not only whilst on board their flights but also for the entire duration of their trip when they purchase AirAsia travel protection.
Toko Assurance and AirAsia inked the insurance agreement which marks the beginning of travel insurance protection in Laos. The president of Toko Assurance Mr. Kong Hock Sian and AirAsia Regional Head of Financial Services and Loyalty Mr John Aris Ibrahim formally concluded the agreement in Vientiane yesterday.
“Besides personal accident cover, the policy is also extended to cover loss of baggage, flight curtailment, flight delay, missed flight connections, medical and emergency evacuation” said Mr Hock Sian. “Toko’s claim centre is manned 24 hours and in the case of any claim, one has the convenience of our representation nationwide”.
Toko Assurance is a joint venture company set up between the Lao Government and Tokojaya Group of Conglomerate from Malaysia through the Ministry of Public Security in 2007.
J&C Services, being one of the leading agents of Toko Assurance and their top agency in the “non-motor” insurance market, also attended the signing ceremony. J&C’s clients are businesses and organizations who appreciate J&C‘s professional, client-focused approach.
