Injuries, or incidents can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. It may be a member of the family, or a colleague at work who needs urgent care. It can even be a random stranger. The people around you can only be safe if you are skilled enough to care for them in critical moments.
The most critical time for any patient is the duration it takes for them to arrive at a medical facility. And the long-term impact of an injury or illness can be greatly reduced if the patient receives proper care immediately. This is the reason why First Aid is extremely important!
If you haven’t been trained to give first-aid, you may just be helpless when you’re put in a critical situation. Did you know that it’s recommended to get re-trained once every two years because of the updates and revision in processes over the years.
In Laos, we have the Vientiane Rescue 1623 team which gives first aid on daily basis. And with all the practice they have, they understand the processes and the realities of the scenario. Recently, they have opened up to train the general public ! Our J&C Group recently had a first-aid training with Vientiane Rescue 1623, and we highly recommend them!
Here’s what we learned:
- Accident Care
- Stroke Care
- CPR & EAR
- Open Wound Care & Bandaging
- Fracture Identification & Care
- Insect & Snake Bites
- Burn Care
- Do’s & Don’ts
Our team absolutely loved the training because it was more practice and case studies than lectures. The Vientiane Rescue team had dummies, props, and all necessary items to help us practice for cases of emergencies. And through their training, our workplace and our homes are now safer.
Thank you Vientiane Rescue 1623 !!
