Lao Photographer Wins contest in the UK

Mr. Anoukit Kothsavath was among 20 photographers from around the world selected as winners of the Life Framer competition in January 2023.

The competition is held every month and the theme for January was “Night Life”. The other winners last month included photographers from Kenya, Belize, the US, and Ukraine.

“This achievement is a precious present in my photography career because it encourages me to push the boundary of my photography skills, and this is the result of many years of hard work and the competitions I participated in,” said Mr. Anoukit.

“My passion for photography was the foundation for me to participate in competitions, and it pushes me to improve and experiment in different genres of photography. I encourage Lao photographers to take a leap and go for it. If anyone is interested, I will gladly share my experience,” he said.

Life Framer, founded in London, runs a monthly contest to discover photographers worldwide and for sharing and exhibiting contemporary photography. Each month’s contest has a different theme and judge.

The winning entries are exhibited by Life Framer in gallery settings around the world at the end of every 12 months.
