Petrol Stations Increase Fuel Prices

Petrol stations across Laos on Wednesday increased retail prices of petrol and diesel in line with an announcement from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The ministry issued a notification on Tuesday instructing the Lao Petroleum and Gas Association, petrol state enterprises and companies to adjust retail prices for premium grade petrol, regular petrol and diesel following changes in global oil prices.

The price of premium grade petrol increased by 980 kip a litre, regular petrol by 750 kip a litre, and diesel by 380 kip a litre.

Currently, petrol stations in Vientiane are selling premium grade petrol for 7,850 kip a litre, regular petrol for 7,360 kip a litre and diesel for 6,930 kip a litre.

In Khammuan and Savannakhet provinces, premium petrol sells for 7,880 kip a litre, regular petrol for 7,390 kip a litre, and diesel for 6,960 kip a litre.

In Champassak province, the prices are 7,910 kip per litre of premium petrol, 7,420 kip per litre of regular petrol, and 6,990 kip per litre of diesel.

In Attapeu province, premium petrol sells for 8,090 kip a litre, regular petrol for 7,600 kip a litre, and diesel for 7,170 kip a litre.

In Xayaboury province, premium petrol sells for 8,810 kip a litre, regular petrol for 7,610 kip a litre, and diesel for 7,180 kip a litre.

In Oudomxay province, 8,330 kip per litre is the price of premium petrol. Regular grade petrol costs 7,840 kip and diesel costs 7,410 kip.

In Bokeo province, premium grade petrol costs 7,950 kip a litre while the price of regular petrol has been set at 7,408 kip a litre. Diesel sells for 7,030 kip a litre.
