Peugeot Brand to Launch in Laos

One of the world’s leading automakers, Stellantis N.V., is launching the PEUGEOT brand in Laos as part of its strategy to increase its presence in Southeast Asia.

With the appointment of the Laothani Group as the official distributor of PEUGEOT vehicles in Laos, the public can soon look forward to a world that is better with Allure, while the first PEUGEOT showroom and service center will be launched in May.

PEUGEOT is the oldest automotive brand in the world, with more than 210 years of history. Since 1810, the brand has remained true to the high quality and inventive nature of French manufacturing.

Currently, PEUGEOT is an inventive and global top-of-the-range generalist brand driven by its values of Allure, Emotion, and Excellence. Present in more than 130 countries, PEUGEOT sold more than 1,200,000 vehicles worldwide in 2021. Laothani Tractor Sole, a subsidiary under the Laothani Group, will be handling operations focused on expanding PEUGEOT sales and network development throughout the territory as part of the Group’s New Business and Electrified Mobility strategies.

Laothani Tractor Sole’s Managing Director, Mr. Ladsasiphon Phimphachanh, said the first PEUGEOT showroom and service center will be officially launched in Vientiane sometime in May. More outlets will follow in other major cities in Laos.

After celebrating its 211th anniversary, PEUGEOT is ushering in its new identity with a coat of arms that emphasizes its personality and timelessness. With an 80 percent electrified passenger car range and a 100 percent electrified commercial vehicle range, the PEUGEOT Brand is continuing its energy transition.

From 2022, the Brand will compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with its 9X8 hybrid Hypercar.
