One of the world’s leading automakers, Stellantis N.V., is launching the PEUGEOT brand in Laos as part of its strategy to increase its presence in Southeast Asia.
With the appointment of the Laothani Group as the official distributor of PEUGEOT vehicles in Laos, the public can soon look forward to a world that is better with Allure, while the first PEUGEOT showroom and service center will be launched in May.
PEUGEOT is the oldest automotive brand in the world, with more than 210 years of history. Since 1810, the brand has remained true to the high quality and inventive nature of French manufacturing.
Currently, PEUGEOT is an inventive and global top-of-the-range generalist brand driven by its values of Allure, Emotion, and Excellence. Present in more than 130 countries, PEUGEOT sold more than 1,200,000 vehicles worldwide in 2021. Laothani Tractor Sole, a subsidiary under the Laothani Group, will be handling operations focused on expanding PEUGEOT sales and network development throughout the territory as part of the Group’s New Business and Electrified Mobility strategies.
Laothani Tractor Sole’s Managing Director, Mr. Ladsasiphon Phimphachanh, said the first PEUGEOT showroom and service center will be officially launched in Vientiane sometime in May. More outlets will follow in other major cities in Laos.
“We want to bring new experiences to the Lao market in every dimension,” Mr. Ladsasiphon said. PEUGEOT Lao will focus on customer experiences with brands, products, lifestyles, and services as part of the ‘Experience the Difference’ strategy.
“We are pleased to partner with the Laothani Group, as the appointed distributor for the PEUGEOT brand in Laos. This marks a milestone for Stellantis as part of our commitment to further expand our footprint in Southeast Asia with our brands.”

“Allure is the one word that epitomizes the PEUGEOT brand. We define it as powerful, attractive, and exciting. Our customers choose PEUGEOT because they have an affinity with Allure and an appreciation for style and design. We are confident that Lao people will also love PEUGEOT as our cars are more than just vehicles and become an expression of their personality,” he added.
After celebrating its 211th anniversary, PEUGEOT is ushering in its new identity with a coat of arms that emphasizes its personality and timelessness. With an 80 percent electrified passenger car range and a 100 percent electrified commercial vehicle range, the PEUGEOT Brand is continuing its energy transition.
