Summer Camps 2020 (Vientiane & Nearby)

With schools out and Covid restrictions easing many parents are looking for activities to keep their children occupied. Vientiane has a range of camps and activities to keep children busy, learning new skills and making new friends. We’ve made a compilation of some of the best and most popular camps happening in Vientiane and nearby to keep your little ones engaged over the summer break.


TCFC Outdoor Leadership Camp

A new camp being offered for the first time this year, TCFC is partnering with a highly experienced outdoor educator to offer teens a chance to explore Vang Vieng while learning valuable leadership skills. The camp takes place over four days in Vang Vieng and features a range of outdoor activities including mountain biking, kayaking, shelter building and rice planting.

Students undertake all these activities and more while being supported through these experiences by dedicated and supportive staff, who ensure that the students are not only having fun but also reflecting on the experiences in order to get the most out of their time.

The next TCFC Outdoor Leadership Camp is happening on August 3 rd to 6 th and is accepting students aged 12-15. The price (2,750,000 LAK) covers all activities, meals, accommodation and transport, including transportation to and from Vientiane. Vang Vieng Pony Club

Organised in partnership with the Silver Naga Hotel and Ponies of Vang Vieng are hosting a three day pony camp for kids up to 55kg on July 31 st to August 2 nd . Children can learn about pony care and riding all while being supervised by internationally certified instructors. The camp offers introductory classes for beginners has well as a more advanced Level 2 experience for children with a higher level of familiarity.

Love Life Summer Camp

Love Life is once again hosting their very popular summer camp for children aged five to twelve. Students can experience a range of activities including cooking, arts and crafts, games and sports. Each day has a range of activities and includes and balanced lunch made fresh by the staff at Love Life Café.

Prices start at 300,000 LAK per day with discounts offered for week long bookings, multiple weeks, and siblings attending together. TCFC Sports Camp

The original sports camp in Vientiane is back again in 2020 for children aged six to twelve. TC Football Club has been running these camps for eight years in Laos and has gained a reputation for quality and fun. Every day students take part in a range of different activities, focusing on team work, physical development and fun. This camp is extremely popular and books out very quickly.

This year the camp is running with much smaller groups, with a maximum of 30 students per day. Be sure to book early to secure a place for your child. Please note that for the weeks of August 10 th to 14 th and 17 th to 21 st the camp will only run if there are enough bookings. However most of their camps in July were fully booked so make sure to book early!


ASW Swim – Fit and Fun Summer Camp

Angkham Sport and Wellness Centre is once again offering their very popular swim based camp for ages four and up. This is the third year that ASW is running their camp and they have had great feedback in the past. This year ASW is building on that success to offer children a number of activities each day. As well as swimming children can take part in tennis, martial arts, photography, and yoga, and many more.

Every day children will take part in five activities, all over seen by professional coaches and practitioners in a private facility. Fees start at 380,000 per day, with discounts offered for weekly or monthly enrolments. Fees include all activities and lunch. My First Creation – Kids and Teens Holiday Sewing Club

A new addition to the summer camp line up is the Holiday Sewing Club, organised by fashion designer Viviane Inthavong. Two different age groups, 7-12 and 13-17 years old, work with professional fashion designer and seamstress to create a unique piece over 5 afternoons.
