Traffic Police Ready to Serve in New Year 2024

The Vientiane Capital Traffic Department is ready to serve nationwide during the celebration of New Year 2024.

Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department Lt. Col. Keomala Sengthong made the statement at a press conference held in Vientiane on December 26.

During the celebration of New Year 2024, we will focus on inspecting vehicles running on main roads, national roads, and between provinces to reduce road accidents in society, said Lt. Col. Keomala.

“We will also disseminate traffic rules, and information about proper driving, and urge motorists to wear helmets.  We are calling on all road users to strictly follow traffic rules including obeying speed limits, and refraining from drinking and driving” he said.
