The Half Marathon route takes participants through Vientiane city center and alongside the Mekong River.

The aim of the run is to promote a healthy lifestyle that incorporates regular exercise, support a local charity, develop a stronger community spirit, and promote a greener environment.

The event also serves to showcase Laos internationally as a premier destination for elite runners and sports enthusiasts.

This year’s Vientiane International Half Marathon is a cooperation between Events for Good and the Lao Athletics Federation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Sports, and is expected to attract numerous participants.

Registration can be done online, at the Events for Good office in Thatkhao village (Monday-Friday), and in person at partner locations, such as at Toyota Square, Parkson (Saturdays and Sundays), from 10:30am-5pm. Register at https://runlaos.com/ or call 020-91 901 222.

All participants will receive a beautifully designed shirt featuring this year’s theme “Mekong: The River of Life”. Participants in the 21km and 10km runs will also receive a finisher medal to commemorate their achievement.

This year’s sponsors include Tigerhead (Headline Sponsor) and Toyota Laos (Silver Sponsor).

Events for Good has been Laos’ premier organizer of running events since 2015.

Over 40,000 runners from around the world have participated in international and charity runs such as the Vientiane Full and Half Marathons, and the Luang Prabang Half Marathon.
