Vientiane to Have a Brand New Golf Course

Lao Thatluang Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and Faldo Design Inc. from the UK on Tuesday inked an active cooperation pact on an 18-hole golf course design at the Thatluang Lake Special Economic Zone (Thatluang Lake SEZ) in Vientiane.

The documents were signed by Thatluang Lake Special Economic Zone Vice Chairman, Ms. Huang Xiuwen, and MBE Designer and Chairman of Faldo Design, Mr Nick Faldo.

The signing was witnessed by Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Dr Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, ministry officials, and company representatives.
Ms. Huang Xiuwen said Vientiane, with its unique geographical location, green environment, fresh air, and harmonious interpersonal relationships, has the conditions required for the development of golf.

Golf is a leisure sport with a special charm that exercises, cultivates emotions, and improves skills in a natural and elegant green environment, and is deeply loved by people all over the world, she added.

Now, Thatluang Lake SEZ is about to create a world-class brand golf course designed by Nick Faldo level designers, empowering the Thatluang Lake SEZ, for companies settling in the Special Economic Zone, in addition to providing an excellent, comfortable, and convenient office environment.

It also provides a high-end social activity venue for exercising and cultivating character, making the Thatluang Lake SEZ the most ideal place for international companies to invest in Laos for living, working, leisure, and making friends.

The signing ceremony marks the construction and development of the Thatluang Lake SEZ entering a fast lane of development.

The Thatluang Lake SEZ will inevitably become the industry centre for tourism, business, entertainment and leisure in the Pan Asian Economic Circle in the future.
