Pizza Company To Open Third Branch At Dongdok

Pizza Company, a Thai franchise restaurant chain, plans to open another branch in Vientiane this year after achieving major business success over the past few years.

Express Group Laos, which runs the pizza outlets, told Vientiane Times that it planned to open its third branch and second Swensen’s ice cream franchise located at the National University of Laos’ Dongdok campus, aiming to attract young customers.

Pizza Company’s Marketing Manager Ms Annouma Inthavong said they opened their flagship restaurant in Vientiane alongside a Swensen’s franchise next to the Cultural Hall in March 2010, which saw customers flocking in from the moment it opened its doors.

The second branch of the pizza outlet, at Phonsinuan village in Sisattanak district, had its grand opening on May 2 last year. This outlet is smaller than the Cultural Hall branch with a seating capacity of 70. The restaurant aims to service families living in the area as well as tourists.

The 4th anniversary celebration will take place on August 30 at the Pizza Company next to the National Culture Hall in Vientiane with entertainment activities, meet and greet with Lao celebrities and lucky draws including an all-inclusive getaway to the Maldives for six days and five nights worth more than 100 million kip.

The celebration will also include a Mr Pizza Company and Ms Swensen’s 2014 contest as well as fun game booths and a kid’s zone.

The restaurant has been well received among domestic and foreign consumers in Laos as more people develop a taste for international food.

The third Pizza Company branch and second Swensen’s will have their grand opening in October to provide more dining options for people around the university suburb of Dongdok.

Pizza Company and Swensen’s plan to open more outlets in other provinces, after consolidating their operations for customers in the capital.
