Young Lao Designer to Showcase Designs at International Fashion Festival

Young Lao designer and winner of the Lao Young Designer Competition-2019 Nanthaveth Bubpha (Boy) will showcase his collection at the Spectrum KH International Fashion Festival in Cambodia.

The Spectrum KH international fashion festival, presented by 1664 Blanc, is being sponsored by Morgan Tower in partnership with TRIBE Phnom Penh Post Office Square Maison Kayser – Cambodia Penh House. The fashion festival will take place from March 23-25.

He said he was excited about participating in this fashion festival which was his first fashion event outside the country.

Nanthaveth Bubpha (Boy), the winner of the Lao Young Designers’ Competition-2019, studied at the prestigious fashion design institute – ESMOD in Paris. This was a part of the Lao Young Designers Project, scholarship program.

He has been presenting his collections under the fashion label “THAVETH” at Lao Fashion Week since 2019.

‘NEWNORM’ highlights easy-to-wear and smart casual concepts which are relaxing and a more sedate way of dressing up.

The brand’s objective is to create sustainable fashion for Laos.

The multi-award winner and internationally renowned Lao singer, fashion model, and movie actor Nonh Sanonh Maniponh will present the collection.

The fashion designs by NEWNORM will be showcased on the fashion runway in Cambodia and will help promote Lao brands and fashion trends.

He urged fans and the public to support Lao fashion brands and promote talented young designers.
